There's a new digital dollar in the app today. You can buy USDT0 on Stellar with a card or a bank transfer, hold it in your Ramp Network wallet, and sell it again when you want to. No new account, no third-party wallet.

The list of things you can buy and hold in the app keeps getting longer, mostly because people keep asking. So we keep adding assets, and we work with the teams building the ones worth holding.

This one is USDT0 on Stellar, and it's live from day one. Stellar has carried digital dollars since 2021. What it hasn't carried is Tether's. That changes today.

What USDT0 is

USDT0 is the infrastructure that brings Tether's dollar to networks that don't have it. It's built on LayerZero's OFT standard, which means it isn't another wrapped or bridged version of USDT sitting in an isolated pool. USDT0 on Stellar is anchored directly in Stellar's own asset model and connected to the same unified dollar liquidity used across every other network USDT0 supports.

The practical effect: dollars can move into and out of Stellar without custodial bridges, and builders on Stellar work with one consistent dollar rather than a different one per chain. According to USDT0, the network has moved over $100 billion across 29 connected ecosystems since launching in January 2025.

Why Stellar

Stellar has been a payments network since 2014, and the design shows. Transactions confirm in three to five seconds. Fees are fractions of a cent. Asset issuance is built into the protocol rather than bolted on. It's the rail behind remittance corridors, aid distribution and consumer financial services that move real money for people who aren't trading anything.

Which is why USDT0 fits so naturally here. USDT is the dollar most widely held outside the United States, particularly across Latin America, Africa, Turkey and Southeast Asia, and those are the same places Stellar's corridors already run through. Now the network carries the dollar its users are most likely to hold.

What you can do on Ramp Network

From launch:

  • Buy USDT0 on Stellar with a card, bank transfer, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a local payment method in your region
  • Sell it and withdraw to your bank account or card
  • Swap into it from other assets you already hold, with no bridges involved
  • Hold it in the Ramp Network multichain wallet, self-custodial and secured by a passkey, with no third-party wallet to set up

That last one matters more than it sounds. Plenty of places will sell you an asset and then hand you off to a wallet you've never used, with a fresh set of recovery words and a fresh identity check. USDT0 on Stellar sits in the same wallet as everything else you hold with us, under your own keys.

USDT0 is available in the Ramp Network app, through our web widget, and across the partner applications that integrate Ramp Network. One identity check covers all of it.

Why day one matters

The usual pattern for a new asset on a new network is a gap. Live on-chain, technically supported, and no straightforward way to buy any of it with money from your bank. That gap tends to run for weeks.

We're among the first providers to support USDT0 on Stellar, and the one built around fiat access: 150+ countries, local payment methods in most of them, no new account, no re-verifying. A digital dollar you can't get hold of isn't much of a digital dollar.

USDT0 is not available in the EU.
