Buying crypto should feel as normal as any other online payment. Today, it gets a little closer.
We're launching PayPal as a payment method on Ramp Network, starting in the UK. You can now buy crypto with PayPal directly – one of the more significant additions we've made to on-ramp in a while. Not because PayPal is a new name, but because of what it brings: a way to pay that people already know and trust.
A familiar way to pay
Most of crypto still asks people to do unfamiliar things. Paying shouldn't be one of them. PayPal is one of the most widely used, trusted ways to pay online – hundreds of millions of people already have an account and use it without a second thought.
Now that same account works on Ramp Network. Log in, pay the way you normally would, and your crypto lands in your wallet. No new setup, no extra steps.
A bonus: fewer declined payments
There's a practical upside, too. When you pay with PayPal, your payment routes through PayPal's infrastructure rather than going straight through your issuing bank. From the bank's perspective, it looks like a normal PayPal payment.
The result: on some payment types, we're seeing acceptance rates up to 50% higher than other methods. If you've ever had a crypto purchase declined for no obvious reason, PayPal's a good one to reach for.
Can you buy crypto with PayPal in the UK?
Yes. As of today, UK users on Ramp Network can buy crypto with PayPal – whether you're buying Bitcoin, Ethereum, or anything else we support. Just log in with your PayPal account at checkout and pay using whichever option is available to you. If you already use PayPal, there's nothing new to set up.
What's next
The UK is the first market. We're actively working on adding more geographies. We'll announce each new market as it goes live.
Open the app, choose PayPal at checkout, and give it a go.
