Ramp Swaps (Ireland) Limited Receives EU-Wide MiCAR Authorisation

Today, we are excited to share a milestone we have been working toward for a long time.

Ramp Swaps (Ireland) Limited, trading as Ramp Network has been officially authorised as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) under MiCAR by the Central Bank of Ireland.

This approval places Ramp Network among the first companies operating fully under the European Union’s unified regulatory framework for crypto-asset services, a significant step not only for us, but for the broader ecosystem that depends on safe, compliant access between fiat and digital assets.

Why this matters

For years, Europe’s crypto landscape has been shaped by a patchwork of national regulations. MiCAR changes that. It introduces one clear, harmonised set of rules for all 27 EU countries, covering governance, operational resilience, transparency, and consumer protection.

With MiCAR authorisation, Ramp Network can now provide its on- and off-ramp services across the entire European Union under a single licence. No fragmentation. No uncertainty. One consistent regulatory framework for converting between fiat currencies and digital assets.

The authorisation covers the core activities that enable Ramp Network to facilitate secure and compliant fiat–crypto value transfers under EU-level supervision.
